I’m riding the Boulder Community Health B Strong Ride again this year to celebrate cancer survivorship & to help fund a complete year of cancer care at the B Strong Center for Integrative Care at Boulder Community Health.  This center provides complementary, evidence-based therapies for cancer patients receiving care at BCH. Founded in 2011, the B strong Ride has been an outstanding success, with over 10,000 riders and over $5 million raised.  

"B Strong has always been far more than a bike ride. It’s a celebration of survivorship, community, and hope—bringing together riders, caregivers, families, and supporters to honor those in cancer treatment and beyond while helping sustain the B Strong Center for Integrative Care," says the B Strong team.

"The B Strong Spirit began with Boulder cancer survivor, Kevin Mulshine and the caregivers, family, and friends who stood with him through the fight of his life — especially his radiologist and B Strong co-founder, Dr. Roger Nichols. Together, they created something extraordinary: a community rooted in resilience, compassion, healing, and a shared passion for cycling."

This is the final B Strong Ride for Boulder Community Health.  And thus, my final year of fundraising for this incredible center.  From here on, there will be an Boulder Comunity Health Foundation endowment to support the B Strong Center for Integrative Care.

Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care (CIC) provides a wide range of services integrated with conventional cancer care that are clinically demonstrated to improve patients’ outcomes by enhancing wound healing, shortening hospital stays, and reducing pain medication needs, as well as lowering patient stress and anxiety.

CIC provides evidence-based care by certified and licensed practitioners for current cancer patients and cancer survivors, as well as their family members and caregivers, including:

• Manual Lymph Drainage
• Massage Therapy and Reflexology
• Reiki and Healing Touch Massage
• Wellness & Integrative Care Consultation
