A Thousand Cranes. One Shared Hope.
Team Thousand Cranes was founded on a simple idea: small acts, when brought together, can become something powerful.
On September 13, I'm carrying that spirit into Miles for Music, traveling between two beloved nonprofit music venues, The Drake in Amherst and The Iron Horse in Northampton, to help support live music here in Western Massachusetts.
Music has an incredible way of bringing people together. It gives us places to gather, celebrate, connect, heal, and create memories. Miles for Music helps protect those spaces by supporting nonprofit live music, local artists, and the downtown communities these venues call home.
While Team Thousand Cranes began through Relay For Life and our commitment to supporting those impacted by cancer, the meaning behind the thousand cranes has always reached further: hope, healing, perseverance, and the power of people coming together for something bigger than themselves.
This September, every mile is another small act of support.
