Billy's Chain Gang
Billy's Chain Gang
Welcome to Billy's Chain Gang.
We ride in memory of those we have lost and in support of those who continue the fight every day.
This team was created to honor Brother Bill, who lost his battle with diabetes. We ride in remembrance of all who lost their lives battling T1D. Diabetes has taken far too many people far too soon.
But this ride is not only about remembering those we have lost.
It is also about family members and friends who have diabetes. It is about everyone living with T1D who face countless challenges, hospitalizations, and difficult days that most people will never fully understand. Their strength, resilience, and determination inspire us every day. The loved ones we have lost are the reason we ride. The people still fightging are the reason we hope.
Through the ODRAM (One Day Ride Across Michigan), we are raising funds for Breakthrough T1D, a highly respected organization dedicated to curing, treating, and preventing Type 1 diabetes and its complications through groundbreaking research and advocacy.
Every mile we ride and every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to a world where no family has to experience the pain, worry, and loss caused by diabetes.
Thank you for supporting Billy's Chain Gang. Together, we can honor those we've lost, support those still fighting, and help create a future where T1D is no longer a life-changing diagnosis.
We ride for Billy. We ride for family. We ride for a cure.

Events for Good
Welcome to my ODRAM - Breakthrough T1D fundraising page!
Did you know T1D:
- Strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle.
- Occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Insulin is essential to turning food into energy.
- Requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is working every day to change this. And every dollar I raise helps them continue to bring life-changing therapies from the lab to the community until a cure is found.
I have been hard at work training and fundraising, and your gift today will propel me toward the finish line. Please donate and help Breakthrough T1D achieve its goal of a world without T1D.
Please check back to view my fundraising progress as my ODRAM weekend approaches. Thank you for your support.
