Welcome to my "Oh good god why am I doing this to myself" fundraising page!
For those who don't know, I am racing in the kayak portion of the 2026 Great Josh Billings RunAground Triathlon as a way to celebrate the conclusion of my 41st year on this planet. Amazingly, Mill Town Foundation has partnered with the Josh Billings to encourage race participants like myself to raise awareness for Berkshire County based nonprofit organizations. This transforms such an iconic Berkshire tradition into an amazing platform for collective impact in action, connecting a test of my endurance, philanthropy for a great cause, and community investment.
In due form, I've decided to put on my Birthday Fundraising Hat and am raising awareness and support for the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition Building Campaign! For those who aren't familiar, nbCC just celebrated 40 years and is now running full speed towards funding a building renovation to convert a historic lumber yard / hardware shop building in North Adams into an 18,000 square foot community center and central resource hub for Northern Berkshire County.
I know you have many options of where to put your donations and community investment, but every dollar counts. Whether it is $1 or $1,000,000, thank you for considering contributing to my efforts here, and if you have any questions on how to get more involved with nbCC, please feel free to reach out anytime!
I'm here to Finish the Race, and Continue the Impact far beyond. Thankful to have you along for the ride :)
Thank you!
"The Finish Line Fund" presented by The Josh Billings RunAground and Mill Town Foundation
The Great Josh Billings RunAground is a cherished Berkshire Tradition that began in 1977. The triathlon brings our community together in the spirit of good natured competition and camaraderie.
Mill Town Foundation has partnered with the Josh Billings RunAground to introduce a charitable fundraising initiative that empowers individual competitors and teams to raise funds for Berkshire- based nonprofits.
This program enhances the Josh’s tradition of community impact by connecting athletic competition with local philanthropy, channeling funds to support Berkshire County nonprofits.
The Finish Line Fund is a peer-to-peer fundraising program that:
- Integrates charitable giving into race registration
- Provides personalized fundraising pages for every participant
- Connects athletes with vetted Berkshire nonprofits
- Distributes 100% of donations directly to chosen organizations
- Celebrates impact alongside athletic achievement
Each year, The Josh Billings RunAground, a 501(3)c organization, shares a portion of proceeds generated by registration fees and donations to the Berkshire United Way. This remains unchanged in 2026.
New for 2026, Mill Town Foundation has partnered with The Josh Billings RunAground to offer a community impact initiative titled, "The Finish Line Fund".
Racers choose from many of the Berkshire-based nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to helping the Berkshire communities every day and are deserving of recognition and support.
