Cancer has affected my life over the past 5 years, not because I have personally had cancer, but because family and friends all around me have. My Aunt Marybeth passed away from breast cancer when I was 13 years old and my very good friend Hillary Myers was battling cancer just last year. Hillary is a fighter, and due to her immense strength she was able to overcome. I plan on running the Seacoast Cancer 5k in honor of Hillary Myers and in memory of my Aunt Marybeth.
On September 27th I’ll be participating in a 5k road race benefiting Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. I’m counting on your donation to help me reach my personal goal. Proceeds from the Seacoast Cancer 5k benefit the Supportive and Wellness Services at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Seacoast Cancer Center, offering patients and their families individualized guidance and support as they cope with cancer diagnoses and treatment. Programs include:

Nutrition
Psychosocial screening
Rehab
Exercise
Support groups
Integrative therapies
