Join us for our 14th Annual Mt. Washington Century ride, New England's Most Challenging Century. We have mountain passes that thrill the eye and challenge the soul. For those wanting to ‘test their personal best’, the Mt. Washington Century Ride is it! Ride around the base of Mt. Washington via the NH Scenic Byway/Presidential Range Tour route that offers spectacular mountain views and tranquil New England pastoral scenery.

The 100+ mile route around Mt. Washington has an elevation gain of 2034 feet and boasts challenging passes through four notches and ends with a kicker hill. The Mt. Washington Century Ride leaves Tin Mountain Conservation Center, travels on the Kancamagus Highway, over Bear Notch Road to Bartlett, follows Rt 302 through Crawford Notch to Rt 115 in Twin Mountain, along Rt 115 to Rt 2 past Jefferson Notch and into Gorham before heading south on Rt 16 past the Mt. Washington Auto Road and over Pinkham Notch. From Pinkham Notch the route drops into Glen and back to the Conway area via Rt 16 and the scenic West Side Road.

The Mt. Washington Century Ride has two additional mileage routes to suite cyclists’ interests. The Century Ride is completely supported with five aid stations along the 100+ mile course (three on the 80-mile route and two on the 40-mile route), support vehicles with ham radio operators, and a bike repair support van. 

Remember the Fundraising Challenge for cyclists to raise money and win fantastic prizes. You don't need to fundraise to ride the Century, but it sure is fun! All riders receive an event t-shirt, a great after ride meal, and the personal accomplishment knowing ‘they did it’.

Tin Mountain Conservation Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing education programs that foster greater awareness and understanding of the natural environment for school children, adults, and families. Since it was founded in 1980 by Barbara Rockwell Henry and David Henry in Jackson, NH, the Center has offered hands-on programs in the schools, at summer camps, and within communities throughout northern New Hampshire and western Maine.  Each year Tin Mountain works with over 5,000 in public and private school, in addition to its homeschool programs.
