It's Circle Triathlon time again.
THE TRI IS THIS SUNDAY-SEPT 4!
I'm training vigorously to be ready, for the sixth time, to charge into the waters of Little Squam at 8:00 on Sunday morning, September 4, at Riveredge Marina in Ashland.
This year three generations of Bownes women will compete together.
Yes, my daughter and granddaughter, Nancy and Sarah, are coming from Utah to make up a family relay team, as we did four years ago. Sarah will do the bike leg, and Nancy will run. My friend Barbara McCahan will swim with me as personal lifeguard.
We do this because we believe in Circle, and its mission to serve girls in central New Hampshire through its summer camp and year-round mentoring program for every girl.
I'm asking you to sponsor us again this year. You should know that your contribution to this cause is very much appreciated by Circle and the girls.
We hope our team can raise $3000.
The Circle Program is a non-profit organization that serves low-income NH girls through year round mentorship and summer camp opportunities. Based in Plymouth, the Circle Program serves girls from 29 different towns throughout NH. The Circle Triathlon is our major fundraising event. Any and all fundraising efforts and donations to the Circle Program are greatly appreciated.
