"Beau believed in our better angels. He always said adults have a moral and legal obligation to stand up and speak out for children who are being abused – they often cannot speak for themselves. He knew the first lines of defense for a child who is bullied are that child’s peers. He knew every child was capable of courage, but that courage without confidence does not inspire action. We will work in our communities to ensure adults who care about children know how to prevent child abuse. We will work in schools and community centers to teach children skills, and to give them tools and procedures that result in the confidence to report, and stop, bullying." - Beau Biden Foundation
As many of you may know, I have a passion for the profession I'm in. As a social worker, I've seen so many wonderful, resilient children and families who need that little extra help from their community to overcome the trauma they have experienced. Please help me to support a cause close to my heart through the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children by making a pledge in my name. I will be running in the Beau Biden Memorial Trail Run on March 18, 2017 and appreciate your support.
Love,
Emily
Beau Biden Foundation Trail Run: Race #2 Trail Creek Outfitters Series
The Beau Biden Memorial Trail Run is a great way to simultaneously honor Beau's memory and bring awareness to the Beau Biden Foundation, all while running the trails of the beautiful Granogue Estate.
This race is the second race in the Trail Creek Outfitters Series, powered by Velo Amis. For more information about the race and the whole series, please visit our website: www.trailcreekseries.org
The Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children (BBF) was established in June 2015 as an operating non-profit to continue Beau Biden’s commitment to protect children from the threat of abuse — either at the hands of a predator or a peer. The Foundation believes that child abuse can be prevented through effectively educating adults and children, developing the next generation of child welfare professionals, and strengthening child protection laws around the country.
