Hi!
I’m riding for a cause again and asking for your consideration. This time I’m riding to help combat food insecurities in Southern Vermont through my participation in the Hungry Lion Bike Tour on September 28, 2018.
While doing something that I enjoy immensely, I will also be helping the Whitingham-Halifax Lions to serve their community in a significant way. This will be my second year riding this charity ride and I can’t wait! The ride is as challenging as it is spectacular as it climbs and winds through the Green Mountains and Berkshires.
This year I have the privilege to ride to honor the memory of Alan Stewart. Our team name, Alan’s Pride, aptly captures the spirit and personality of Alan and those who ride in his name. I only met Alan once. Armed with the a hug of a bear and a bellowing laugh, Alan made everyone feel like family. Sadly, Alan left this world too soon but not without making an indelible mark on all those whose paths he crossed.
Thank you for your consideration in support of hungry families and the Lions who help feed them!
Many thanks,
Jen
