Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. My beloved 5th & 6th grade teacher at Wildwood Elementary School in Amherst, Brian McNamara recently passed away after several years of valiantly battling an insidious cancer. Brian, or "Mac" as we all called him, was one of those life-changing teachers, who taught us what was right, how to believe in ourselves and how to think critically. If I hadn't been in his class, I have no doubt I would not have become a teacher. On October 14th I will be participating in the 46th Annual Amherst A Better Chance Fall Foliage 5K Walk/Run along with several other Mac classmates of mine. We walked in the ABC walk each year with Mac. Donations received will help support the Amherst ABC program and the scholars that live at the ABC House in Amherst and attend Amherst Regional High School. These are students who hail from difficult economic situations in urban areas, usually New York City, who come to live together in the ABC House and to take advantage of the great opportunities that the Amherst Regional Public Schools have to offer.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal. All donations are tax deductible. If you would like to learn more about the organization please visit the ABC website at www.amherstabetterchance.org.
Thank you for your support!
