Welcome to our family's fundraising page for the WAIM Walk for Warmth!
WAIM has been helping people stay warm and safe for twenty-five years, and we are excited to help them help our neighbors. We chose to support WAIM for its excellent record of fiscal responsibility and providing direct assistance to those who need it in the greater Windham, CT area. While they provide household goods, mentoring, job training assistance, and clothing, this walk is particularly focused on helping our neighbors keep their heat on through another cold Connecticut winter.
Anything you can give to support this effort will be greatly appreciated.
WAIM Walk for Warmth
WAIM's annual Walk for Warmth brings our community together to raise funds for those in our community who are struggling financially and cannot afford to pay for heat or electricity. Each year, WAIM helps over 200 families who might be left out in the cold were it not for the support of their friends and neighbors.
100% of funds raised will go directly to help our neighbors when they are most in need.
Walk for Warmth is a charity event sponsored by the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry to raise funds for our Energy Assistnace Program. 100% of the funds raised will be used to assist people in our community who cannot pay for heat or electricity because of a insufficient income, medical emergency, job loss, or other crisis. Last year, over 200 families were helped. Your donation will help us reach our 2020 goal of $40,000.
