As many of you know, I am personally involved with annual fundraising for the Matt Cook Foundation through the 24hr Charity Challenge Hockey Game which normally takes place in April.  Due to COVID, this year's game was postponed and is now being run as a 24hr outdoor ball hockey event on August 28 and 29.  The in-person event is intended to be 'small' but we switched gears and are going for a big online presence.  Sadly, with COVID and the related impacts, fundraising is the toughest it's ever been so I am asking for your help.  We are running an online auction including some raffles.  Please visit our auction site at https://www.biddingowl.com/24HourCharityChallenge and register to create a bidder account which will allow you to:

  1. Buy 50/50 tickets

Tickets are 1 for $5, 3 for $10 or 10 for $20.  There are limited quantities of each so hurry and get yours.  The 50/50 is structured to raise up to $20,000 with half staying with the event and the other half going to the lucky winner.

      2.   Buy tickets for our Handmade Hockey Themed Quilt ($10 each with 100 tickets max)

This is an amazing, one-of-a-kind quilt HANDMADE by June Waknuk, who has previously created many other special quilts for each annual 24hr Game.  This unique quilt features a fun hockey print that will excite hockey fans of all ages.  It was made with lots of love and care and so the quality of this quilt is absolutely second to none.  You don’t want to miss your chance at this beautiful one-of-a-kind item!

      3.  Buy tickets for our Tailgating Party Package for you and your COVID cohort ($10 each with 100 tickets max)

What an awesome way to get together in your COVID cohort and have some fun. This package is exactly what you need for your next outdoor get together.  Just add your cohort, some food and get the party started.  The package includes a Broil King Porta-Chef 120 BBQ, Hop House 13 cooler and some beer, Kettle One stemless wine glasses (10) with 2 bottles of Riesling, Hockey Themed BBQ utensils, a Town Square Brewing $30 gift card, hat and beer and a $50 gift card to Real Deal Meats.  What a package!!!

     4.  Bid on silent auction items

There are over 75 silent auction items to choose from.  Once you establish your bidder account, you can be notified via e-mail if you are outbid or you can even set a max bid which will allow the system to place proxy bids for you up to your maximum on individual items.

Bidding and raffles are now open and will end on August 29 at 6:00 p.m. as the game wraps up.
