Welcome to The 24 Hour Charity Challenge hosted by Edges Professional Skating Instruction, in partnership with Superskate Advanced Hockey Development Association and the Canadian Athletic Club. All proceeds from this fundraising event go to the Matt Cook Foundation.
Our 24 Hour Charity Challenge pits Edges instructors’ expertise (and age) against our young power skating students. Our instructors donate their time to plan the event, obtain pledges and of course to play the game, for the FULL 24 hours. The Canadian Athletic Club donates the ice and arena staff for the entire 24-hour period, and participants pay an entry fee as well as obtain pledges in the community.
For our April 2020 game, unfortunately due to COVID, we were forced to cancel the annual event. But like Matt, we are not a group to give up easily! Our re-scheduled game is going on outside on August 28 and 29 where participants and coaches will square off for 24 hours of ball hockey under the sun (and moonlight).
Thanks for everything you do to support this great event.
