Emma's Owls
We are participating to honor Emma Elizabeth Dias, who would have turned three December 8th. Her nursery was decorated with all things owl, and when she was cremated she was wrapped in an owl blanket and was dressed in clothing with an owl patch sewn on it. Since her death, owls hold such special meaning to our family and friends. Whenever we see one, whether it be in a picture, in a store, or in a decoration, we call it Emma's owl. They pepper our house as a representation of her presence.
Team Emma's Owls is made up of participants who have been touched by Emma's existence. All members hold space in their hearts for the babies we are all missing, and we are all wanting to support an organization that does so much for bereaved families throughout Western Massachusetts.
Syrup Stampede
Syrup Stampede will be a fun, family friendly 5k run/walk event. Donations and raised funds will benefit Empty Arms, an organization geared toward helping families of the Pioneer Valley grieve the loss of a pregnancy or infant. The Empty Arms Community Members not only hope to raise awareness of this awesome organization but also hope to demonstrate our want and desire to integrate our losses into poistive events surrounding the memories of our babies.
Empty Arms
Empty Arms Bereavement Support serves members of the Western Mass community whose babies have died at any time during pregnancy or early infancy. We look to provide and create a compassionate community, fostering connections, validation, and resources to grieving parents.
