I met Dr. Joe Tuscano years ago when I covered medicine for the Sacramento Bee. He was always willing to share his cancer expertise with me for my stories. I now work with him on occasion as the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center's communications rep, and he has since helped friends of mine navigate their cancer journeys.
I am delighted now to do something for him and his cause - a non-toxic cure for lymphoma. Dr. Tuscano began down this path while treating Norman deLeuze, the late founder of ZD Wines in Napa. who asked Tuscano if there wasn't a better way to treat his disease. The family later began a foundation to do just that, and the The Crush Challenge raises money for the The deLeuze Family Endowed Professorship for the Non-Toxic Cure for Lymphoma.
Thank you for helping me raise money for this worthy cause by making a pledge support my ride on Oct. 12. Together, we can crush cancer!
