Dear friends and family,
I have been late in my fundraising this year, as with my aches and pains I wasn't sure if I'd be up for a 50 mile bike ride this year. But today, after a beautiful 20 mile ride through Hadley-Sunderland farmland, on a gorgeous September day, I was feeling strong and was inspired to commit myself to this wonderful and festive event!
I feel proud to ride on a team of kind and dedicated people, helping their neighbors everyday in our shared work caring for others at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. The hospital team, "Heart and Soul" will be out in full force to raise money for our neighbors most in need, struggling with food insecurity. Please help me to help others by contributing towards my fundraising goal. If it's a difficult time for you to send money, please just be with me in spirit as I ride 50 miles on September 29th!

Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food to our member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role helping individuals, families, seniors and children. Every $1 donated to The Food Bank can purchase 4 meals for a family who needs them most.
