Like many of you, cancer and/or auto-immune diseases have impacted me or a loved one. I want to ride to honor their fight and raise money for organizations who help in their cause.
The Mission
To raise awareness and support for the Cancer Support Community and American College of Rheumatology, all charitable non-profit organizations passionate about supporting patients and their families as they work hard to cope with these afflictions. These horrible diseases can strike at anytime and can leave individuals scared and alone. But with a compassionate and experienced support group, a patient and their families can find hope. Cycling has been shown to prolong the onset of various cancers and auto-immune diseases, and can be beneficial part of physical therapy for these afflictions.
All net proceeds will be divided equally among these great charities.

Ride Strong Roubaix
Our goal is to bring together and celebrate community through cycling in a beautiful natural setting, food, drink, and friendship all within the context of raising awareness and support for two organizations that help those who fall victim to cancer or auto-immune disease. The Cancer Support Community and American College of Rheumatology are charitable non-profit organizations passionate about supporting patients and their families as they work hard to cope with these afflictions. These horrible diseases can strike at anytime and can leave individuals scared and alone. But compassionate and experienced support organizations such as these help patients and their families find hope. Through the proceeds of the Ride Strong Roubaix ride, we can help support both organizations' mission.
All three Ride Strong Roubaix routes start from Horshoe Bend Township Park, nestled in Kingwood Township of Hunterdon County New Jersey. Route options of 20, 40, or 60 miles guide you through gorgeous pastures, farms, creeks and forest. Ride solo, or as a fundraising team! All routes have rest stops to refuel and re-energize. With registration you will receive:
- $10 food voucher for post ride eats
- $10 voucher for the beer garden. (For participants age 21 and older.)
- Event T-Shirt
Please note - all riders must be over the age of 14 by the event date.
Pure Energy Velo is a charitable non-profit organization committed to advocating and introducing cycling and healthier living to the community through bicycle safety seminars, maintenance classes, group rides, public speaking events, and charity cycling events, such as the Ride Strong Roubaix and HippoCross Cyclocross Race.
