Welcome to my fundraising page and thank you for supporting my ride! I'll be riding 25 miles on September 12th to support an organization that I love - Save One Life. 25 miles might not seem like a lot, but it will be my first road ride since I broke my collarbone in February. So c'mon, that's something, right?!
Save One Life is an organization I have gotten to know well during my time working at uniQure helping to develop a gene therapy for hemophilia. Save One Life provides financial assistance to children around the world with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Two years ago Lorena and I decided to sponsor a child. His name is Bikram and he lives in Nepal. You can sponsor a child too! And if you can't right now, you can support my ride with a donation that will go to support Save One Life's misssion.
Save One Life improves the quality of life and future for people with bleeding disorders in developing countries through direct financial assistance.
Save One Life is the only organization of its kind. We directly provide people with the resources they need to lead independent and healthy lives.

Barry Haarde inspired individuals with and without bleeding disorders when he cycled across the country 6 times and raised over $253,000 for Save One Life. Sadly, Barry passed away suddenly in 2018. Save One Life continues to honor his memory with a memorial ride. This community ride recognizes Barry’s contribution to the bleeding disorder community and encourages healthy and active living.
Last year, Chris Seistrup continued Barry's legacy when he won the hardest mountain bike race in the U.S. on his first attempt! This summer he was scheduled to ride across Europe in the Transcontinental Race, one of the world’s toughest ultra-endurance races. Due to COVID-19, this race was cancelled.
Join us this September as we ride virtually!
