Riding with Team Shake It Off for a third straight year of fundraising for Mental Health and riding my bike until my hands go numb! I look forward to this ride every year and can't wait to cross another finish line after 50 beautiful miles through the Gunk Mountains in New Paltz, NY with my family and friends (3 of which are new to the ride this year and I feel so lucky to have them by my side)!
Mental health is health and everyone deserves access to support. The funds raised from this ride go directly to the cause and over the last three years Team Shake It Off has contributed tens of thousands of dollars thanks to our supporters!
Asking for donations is tough because, hey let's face it, our world is expensive. Any dollar amount is more than the cause had before and even a supportive message is helpful to get us across the finish line on this challenging ride. We ride in tribute for family who lost their battle with mental health, for those battling every day, and for those who support those who struggle with mental health. <3 BT

The Ride for Mental Health 2023
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
