WAIM Walk for Warmth
WAIM's annual Walk for Warmth brings our community together to raise funds for our neighbors who are struggling financially and cannot afford to pay for heat or electricity. Each year, WAIM helps over 200 families who might be left out in the cold were it not for the support of their friends and neighbors.
Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, we regret that we will not be able to walk together this year, but we can each do our part to raise much needed funds by walking alone or with family or friends, and continuing to raise funds for WAIM. The need is greater than ever this year, and we need you more than ever.
100% of funds raised will go directly to help our neighbors when they are most in need.
Windham Area Interfaith Ministry
Walk for Warmth is a charity event sponsored by the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry to raise funds for the Energy Assistnace Program. Each year, 100% of the funds raised are used to assist people in the Windham Region who cannot pay for heat or electricity because of insufficient income, medical emergency, job loss, or other crisis. This year, unemployment because of COVID-19 has hit our community hard, and many people have fallen behind in their heat and utility bills. Through this fund, WAIM will be able to assist them.
Last year, over 200 families were helped. This year, the need is even greater. Your donation will help us reach our 2020 fundraising goal of $40,000.
