I am riding for Bike Friendly Kalamazoo and all other charities involved to help make our greater community even more bicycle friendly. Cycling can provide transportation to eonomically disadvantaged individuals and improve overall health but to do so, we must have a safe and encouraging cycling community. I know many an individual in our community who have been involved in bicycle accidents, including myself, and know others who are hesitant for saftey reasons. While Kalamazoo Country is safer than other locations in the USA, there is always room to improve. Let's create a community that not only enourages others to ride but provides a safe and friendly environment to do so!

BFK's Multi-Charity Bikeathon
On Saturday, September 18, our organization will participate in a Charity Bikeathon organized by Bike Friendly Kalamazoo! We are thrilled to be one of more than a dozen non-profits taking part in this inaugural community event.
We hope you can join in the fun -- by riding for our team -- by helping us find donors -- or by donating yourself. Please support our cause and make this a successful event. It would be great if you could join us in the wonderful timber-framed Vicksburg Community Pavilion, right next to the grounds of the lovingly maintained and curated Vicksburg Historic Village.
