Dear Family and Friends:

2021 marks our 9th year of participating in the Magnolia Run for The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia, on behalf of Ansley and Scottie! So many of you reading this have been there, by our side, each and every year and we are so thankful for YOU! As most of you know, Scottie and Ansley have battled Epilepsy for most of their life. As they both start leaning into adulthood, their needs change and the support and services provided by the Epilepsy Foundation will be even more critical to their world as they enter this new phase of life. Hopefully through science and research (funded my events like The Magnolia Run), we will one day find the magic drug or better yet, "a cure" that allows our kids to live a seizure-free life. That is our hope, that is our dream and it is a primary goal for all of the fundraising that we do with the Foundation. And while donations are critical to funding the research and programs, these events are also focus on raising awareness and support for these brave kids who carry the weight of this medical conditionthe every day of their life.

Quick Overview:

When: Saturday, August 21st

Where: King and Queen Building Complex (4 Concourse Parkway)

What: 5k or 1 mile fun run, food, face painting, entertainment fun giveaways and an opportunity to contribute to your own personal health and wellbeing!

AND If you join the Sprinting for Seizures Team and participate in the run, you will get TWO shirts! One to represent our team on the day of the race and one upon completion of the run that represents your generosity and accomplishment.

But wait there's more....

Stop by any of the Lead Hospitality establishments and enjoy a signature cocktail created just for the Magnolia Run! Order the Iris Paloma Cocktail at any of the fine McCray establishments and 100% of the proceeds from the drink will go to the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia. This includes (McCrays -Smyrna, East Cobb, Midtown, Lawrenceville), The Mill Kitchen and Bar, FoxTrot Liqour Bar and TikiTango

About The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia (EFGA): The EFGA is the only health agency in Georgia dedicated to serving more than 110,000 Georgians living with active epilepsy statewide. The foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for people with epilepsy and their families through community education activities for all age levels and comprehensive set of client service programs. The foundation also reaches out to the community at large to reduce the stigma that is often attached to epilepsy and educate the public on seizure recognition and first aid. It has been a critical resource for families like ours over the years. Please consider donating in addition to the registration fee, if you're able.

COVID hindered our ability to hold the traditional Magnolia Run event in 2020 but we are back for 2021 and we know it will be bigger and better than ever!

Thanks to ALL of you who show up and support our kids every single year. It means the world to us and we are forever grateful.

Love,

Amber and Jeff Park, Rachel and Scott McCray, Garry and Lisa Spinks
