CFNY
We are broad group of misfits from a variety of stations in life. All with varying interests, and goals but with one common love. Cycling.
Some of us are really slow and some of us race. Some of us have been riding for many years, and some of us just bought a bike. Some are members of other cycling clubs. Some of us build bikes from the ground up, some have never changed a flat. We have representatives in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, and New Jersey. We attempt to organize both local rides with less time commitment, longer weekend rides to Bear Mountain and Montauk for example, as well as indoor training rides via Zwift.
Cycling Fanatics was created as a group of riders who wanted to build a sense of community, but didn’t feel that they truly belonged.
Eventually, we realized that we are just a bunch of people who love cycling and barely functioning as human beings, much less a well established, orderly, highly organized cycling group.
While we came to terms with the fact that we will never be a truly, well organized competitive group. We did decide that we wanted to still commit to riding with one another. For fun, adventure exploration and more.
In futher discussions with the larger cycling community we learned that particularly in the off season, there is a need for unstructured, “fun” mileage, and boy do we have unstructured in spades.
We are a group of cyclists from all walks, all levels, all interests. Whether you are a seasoned veteran racer, or a young newbie. Looking to meet new people, and explore NYC while bar hopping on a bike, more of a touring bike packer, maybe you’re interested in learning about bike mechanics and how to build and repair bikes, or just trying to lose some weight. Everyone has a place at Cycling Fanatics New York.

We also run a very active chat server on Discord, where you can always find people to ride with, ask questions about routes or gear, or even learn how to fix a thing or two. Join the discord by clicking here: https://discord.gg/TUehvnR

City Harvest Inc.
Cycling Network International is proud to produce this Benefit Ride for CityHarvest.
Today, CityHarvest is New York City’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the more than 1.5 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables. They will rescue 109 million pounds of food this year and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community partners across the five boroughs. Their programs help food-insecure New Yorkers access nutritious food that fits their needs and desires; increase our partners’ capacity; and strengthen the local food system, building a path to a food-secure future for all New Yorkers.
Funds raised will benefit CityHarvest, where every dollar helps rescue 2 pounds of food that feeds 2 Hungry New Yorkers for a day and delivers it to soup kitchens, food pantries, and other community food programs across the five boroughs.
