Join Rapha New York for our Cool to be Kind Mileage Challenge and fundraiser benefiting local charity CityHarvest, in partnership with Cycling Network International (CNI). We are challenging members of the community to ride a collective 10,000 miles in the two weeks between July 9th to the 23rd ending with a celebration ride and happy hour at Pier I Café on the Husdon. Rapha New York will be making a donation on behalf of the club and together with CNI we are encouraging donations to support the City Harvest mission. City Harvest is New York City’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the more than 1.5 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables. Challenge members can contribute donations by joining the Rapha Fundraising Team (https://www.pledgereg.com/297349).
The results will be recorded on Strava. In order for your miles to be counted towards our goal, you must post your Strava ride publicly and be part of the Rapha New York Strava Club (https://www.strava.com/clubs/755993). RCC members must also join the RCCNYC Strava (https://www.strava.com/clubs/121422)Club to be eligible to take home a prize for supporting this fundraising initiative.
The female and male RCC members who ride the most miles over two weeks will take home a prize from Rapha and free entry for the Ride for CityHarvest.

Today, CityHarvest is New York City’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the more than 1.5 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables. They will rescue 109 million pounds of food this year and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community partners across the five boroughs. Their programs help food-insecure New Yorkers access nutritious food that fits their needs and desires; increase our partners’ capacity; and strengthen the local food system, building a path to a food-secure future for all New Yorkers.
Funds raised will benefit CityHarvest, where every dollar helps rescue 2 pounds of food that feeds 2 Hungry New Yorkers for a day and delivers it to soup kitchens, food pantries, and other community food programs across the five boroughs.
