One of our league's mountain biking coaches and friend to mountain biking, Wes, is in need of home accessibility modifications after a devastating illness recently that required both of his legs to be amputated above the knee.
Tyler and I are participating in a special, short mountain bike race at Camp Edge in southern NJ on September 15 to raise money for the modifications. Pledge what you can and help Wes get the needed accessibility modifications to his home!

Camp Edge Short Track race for Wes
This short track race is a fundraiser for a fellow Salem County mountain biker, Wes, who is in need of home accessibility modifications after having both legs amputated above the knee following a sudden health emergency. Wes is active in the mountain bike community in southern NJ as a volunteer NICA coach and an advocate for trail development and maintenance. 100% of your registration payment goes into a fund to create accessibility within his home, including ramps in the front and rear entrances, widening doorways as needed, and installing grab bars and other equipment. Members of the Salem County mountain bike community and Salem County Reactors coaches/student-athletes will be making home modifications as needed to ensure an accessible return to home following the many months of recovery that lies ahead.
Due to limited daylight, we will be combining all categories for the 30 minute race. The short track loop will likely be greater than 1.5 miles but the route will be TBD. Complete as many loops as you can in 30 minutes.
Start time is 6:30PM for all categories. Early bird check-in and pre-ride starts at 5:30PM.
