I'm fundraising to help build the The Georgia Hi-Lo Trail, which connects two trail projects to form a 250-mile paved, road-separated path through small Georgia towns from Athens to Savannah. The group of people working to make this a reality are some of the most amazing I've ever had the privilege to meet.
1) Firefly Trail - begins in Athens and will end in Union Point, a distance of 39 miles when completed. Firefly Trail, Inc. began their work in 2007 and have been true “trail blazers” across small communities in Georgia. (disclaimer: We are not fundraising for the Firefly Trail, even though they are friends of ours!).
2) Georgia Hi-Lo Trail - will connect to the Firefly Trail in Union Point and continue on to Savannah – a 211-mile stretch through rural Georgia. (This is the portion we are fundraising for via the Ga Hi-Lo Trail).
This will be my second year participating in the 4-day gravel ride with some of the best people I know. Please join me to help make this trail possible!!
Cheers!
