Hello friends & fellow bike enthusiasts!
Thank you for visiting my Athens to Savannah Ride fundraising page!
I'm fundraising to help build the The Georgia Hi-Lo Trail, which connects two trail projects to form a 250-mile paved, road-separated path through small Georgia towns from Athens to Savannah.
1) Firefly Trail - begins in Athens and will end in Union Point, a distance of 39 miles when completed. Firefly Trail, Inc. began their work in 2007 and have been true “trail blazers” across small communities in Georgia. (disclaimer: We are not fundraising for the Firefly Trail, even though they are friends of ours!).
2) Georgia Hi-Lo Trail - will connect to the Firefly Trail in Union Point and continue on to Savannah – a 211-mile stretch through rural Georgia. (This is the portion we are fundraising for via the Ga Hi-Lo Trail)
The Georgia Hi-Lo Trail project will provide an incredible resource for pedestrians, runners and cyclists from all walks of life, while encouraging economic growth in small towns along the way.
Please join me in making this trail a reality.
Thank you!
