On June 17th, I will be pedaling my way, 50 miles through the Pioneer Valley, to raise money for BikesFight Cancer.
I have been a huge fan of the Pan Mass Chellenge (PMC) riders, cheering them on as they travel through Brewster every August, on their way from Sturbridge to Provincetown, raising funds for Dana Farber Cancer Research. The ride i am joining was designed by veterans of the PMC as a kind of satellite. It gives people out here in Berkshire and Franklin County and beyond a chance to be a part of this wonderful event.
I am a prostate cancer survivor (2007) and everyone on our team is either a survivor, or family member, or both.
100% of all funds raised will benefit cancer research as well as families dealing with the burden of a cancer diagnosis. Please support my ride to help make an impact on all of those who have been affected by cancer.
LOVE BIKES. HATE CANCER.
P.S. The photo is of me, stopping on a bridge across the Connecticut River during this same ride, a couple years back. It's a beautiful route and your contribution will make it even more satisfying. Thanks.
