I ride for my mom. I ride for Stirling. I ride for hope. I ride so others can receive the same care when they need it most.
What started as a small idea that Johnny and I had—to bring a cancer ride to Western Mass—has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. Today, the Bikes Fight Cancer Ride is a true community event, supporting not only the groundbreaking work at Dana-Farber, but also amazing local organizations like Mass General Cooley Dickinson Cancer Center, Cancer House of Hope, and Cancer Connection.
This June, over 700 participants will come together to use their bikes as a force against cancer—and we couldn’t be more proud of what this community has built.
In addition to being the Event Director for the Bikes Fight Cancer Ride, I’m also gearing up for my 18th Pan-Mass Challenge this August! I’ll once again ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown, honoring my friend Stirling. But this year feels even more personal. I’m also riding for my mom, who just finished a year-long battle with cancer. She was treated with incredible care at Cooley Dickinson, and found strength and support through Cancer House of Hope and Cancer Connection, organizations that mean so much to this community.
After 18 years of riding the PMC, I know firsthand how empowering it is to get on a bike and feel like you’re doing something—anything—to fight back against cancer. Now, through the Bikes Fight Cancer Ride, it’s even more powerful to help create a space where hundreds of people have a chance to find that same sense of purpose.
100% of the donations raised through Bikes Fight Cancer go directly to frontline organizations. Every dollar fuels research, treatment, and the support systems that patients and families rely on. Gratful to support - Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mass General Cooley Dickinson Cancer Center, Cancer House of Hope, and Cancer Connection.
I’m asking for your support as I take on another PMC and as we continue to build and grow this incredible ride here at home.
