I am so excited to be participating in the 8th Annual Swim With A Mission! After attending the dinner for the past few years, I admit, the former swimmer in me was definitely interested. Last year, my twin daughters saw the cups from last year's event and once they heard about it, they wanted to participate. This will be their first open water swim, and the longest cold water (well, cold to a Florida girl) swim that any of us have done. As part of this event, the three of us formed a fundraising team to benefit Veterans organizations. Every year, SWAM focuses on important needs in the Veterans community and provides grants to worthy Veteran service and support programs. The grants are funded through donations like yours, and programs can submit grants that are awarded based on their need and impact to the community. In the past, grants have provided services and support including mental health services, scholarships for children of a parent who died in service, taking care of homeless Veterans, providing rides and financial assistance to Veterans, providing health care services to Veterans, providing permanent housing for Veterans, K9’s for Veterans, and help with PTSD. Please visit http://www.swam.org to learn more about the organizations that Swim With A Mission supports.
Since being founded in 2017, Swim With A Mission has given almost $10 Million to service and support organizations that provide critical services to our Veterans.
Wish us luck this Saturday!!!
All dontations to Rachel, Cordelia or Elise are shared under the fundraising team "Kroll Swim 2024"
