Dear Friends,
Once again I am asking for your support to help the Deerfield Valley Lions Club raise funds to support their food insecurity initiatives. I have been active in this fund raiser for 14 years, volunteering for the first two, and 12 as a rider. Every year the need for food assistance programs seems to grow. This year with the prospect of losing SNAP programs, the need will be even more critical.
The Deerfield Valley Lions is a small, all volunteer organization, which has managed to raise over $250,000 through this bike tour over the past 14 seasons. Last year was our highest grossing event yet! I am proud to be one of the top 3 fund raisers! If you would like to continue to support me you can go to this link: https://www.pledgereg.com/5603/chrisholden and contribute by credit card, or you can send me a check made out to: Deerfield Valley VT Lions Foundation, 603 Maple Drive, Whitingham, Vt. 05361, or better yet, come join us! We do have a virtual option to ride or walk, but it's better being here! Check out the Facebook page or the website www.HungryLionBikeTour.com.
Thanks for your help,
Chris

Each year, our local LIONS CLUB works hard to raise funds for our neighbors in need by sponsoring The Hungry Lion Bike Tour , one of Southern Vermont’s premier cycling events, typically attracting hundreds of riders, friends and family members to our region. We are able to run this professional-caliber event thanks to dedicated volunteers AND the enthusiastic contributions from participants and their sponsors! Our 2025 Event will be held in person with a Virtual Option for those not able to attend in person. We also have an option for folks who would like to walk/hike!
