About Our Cause

It's time to ‘get in gear’ for the 4th Annual Fort Bend County District Attorney’s “DA Bike Ride for Survivors,” scheduled for Saturday, October 5th, at Brazos River Park in Sugar Land. The event features 20, 40, and 55-mile routes protected by law enforcement to ensure a smooth, continuous ride from start to finish with zero traffic stops. The event also features a 1K Color Run for Youth plus a Law Enforcement Fitness Challenge. Proceeds from the event benefit survivors of violent crimes and youth programs in Fort Bend County.

Last year, over 200 riders raised over $40,000 to provide counseling, housing, and other basic needs assistance to victims of violent crimes in Fort Bend County through non-profit partners such as the Fort Bend Women’s Center, Katy Christian Ministries, Daya, and Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA).
