I'm riding the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes to support our combat veterans and their families who are dealing with the trauma and stress of their war experiences. The Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes donates all proceeds to Boulder Crest Foundation, which is committed to improving the physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic wellbeing of our nation's military, veterans, first responders, and their family members. BCF programs ensure they have the opportunity to live lives of passion, purpose, and service at home. Twelve Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Posts from the central Shenandoah Valley organize this wonderful event and all the proceeds from the event support this critical program.

Once again I've chosen to get on my bike and ride for a cause I believe to be important and worthy of my time and treasure. This event is practically in my back yard and is organized by our local VFW chapters with broad community support. It promises to be fun (starts and finishes at a local vineyard), and will demonstrate our enduring commitment to render morale and financial support to men and woman who didn't ask for much from us when they went off to defend our country and our freedoms.

Back for 2025 with three beautiful road routes in a rural part of the Shenandoah Valley, the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes is better than ever.
Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery, near Raphine, Virginia is our host for this year. It's just off I-81 with easy access from the interstate.
The routes will test your legs and showcase the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. Our rest stops will offer a chance to meet our local Veterans and learn some history as you rest and recover for the next leg over the rolling hills and countryside.

This benefit ride is a fundraiser hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars to raise money for Boulder Crest Foundation, a therapeutic and wellness center for combat veterans and their families who are dealing with the stresses of their combat experiences. After twenty years of continuous war in Afghanistan and Iraq, our combat veterans, many of whom have deployed multiple times, and their families are paying a terrible price for their service to the nation. Our event supports Boulder Crest Foundation's mission of turning "struggle into strength".
