I used to say, "No way!" when asked to sign up for fund-raisers, but this year I'm going to do things differently. On December 8, I'm running the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. This great event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County. Will you join me in supporting this terrific organization? Even a dollar will do!!
My own mother was a victim of domestic violence. Among my earliest memories are those in which my sister and I are practicing our lies in the car with our mom, racing home, just a little late, hoping that our untruths, our little white lies would save our mother from another beating from her boyfriend. No mother deserves to be beaten. No child deserves to hear her mother's cries.
Help me prevent other children from having early memories such as these. Every day, Safe Passage helps women and children take steps towards a brighter and safer future.

Safe Passage is the organization in Hampshire County building safety, hope and justice for families who have lived with domestic violence. Adults and kids come to Safe Passage for a variety of programs: an emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, legal advocacy, and so much more.
