I'm currently 7 day's post op from ACL reconstruction. I wish I had an awesome story about dropping off a huge cliff and blowing out my knee. But you all know me better than that. In reality, I got injured on the bunny slope. Seriously.  I caught an edge and went down like a lead balloon.  I can't really do much of anything more than typing great intros and dreaming of warm sunny skies at the moment.  But I am nothing if not an optimist.       So, as a part of my recovery from surgery, I am setting a goal of pedaling all 50 miles through the pioneer valley while raising money for Bikes Fight Cancer. (edit... My Surgeon and Physical therapist advised me that the 25 mile option is pushing it....) This Charity is near and dear to my heart.  We all have a connection to the cancer community whether we like it or not. What I love about this particular charity is that 100% of all the funds I raise will support valuable cancer care services to local patients, families and caregivers as well as funding hospitals focused on advancing cancer research.    

I have to ask you to ACT. Please. Every dollar counts.
