This fundraiser is in loving memory of our friend Brent Thurn, who lost his battle with mental health in 2021.
It also honors the others we’ve lost and supports those who continue to struggle — often quietly and unseen. Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and many of us have been touched by this in some way.
I'm proud to be riding with Team Shake It Off in The Ride for Mental Health, turning remembrance into action. Together, our team has already raised tens of thousands of dollars, helping support mental health awareness, resources, and care.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page or checking in on someone you care about means just as much.
Thank you for helping us honor Brent and support mental health — with compassion and hope.
The Ride for Mental Health 2026
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
