My mother is the person who got me first interested in running, and who consistently supported my efforts to try long-distance running. She inspires me daily, and I could not be prouder to be running in her footsteps to raise money to help others who are also know the earth-shattering effect of a cancer diagnosis. All proceeds go towards Cancer Connection, which is a local nonprofit that offers free support services to families being forced to reckon with a cancer diagnosis.

The WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon has been supporting Cancer Connection for 15 years - And every year our fundraising gets better and better! Help us continue this trend for 16th year in a row!
This race is one of extremely FEW that operate on donation. Race expenses are kept to a minimum, yet we try to make the runners' experience top-notch. This race has a vibe of gratitude, appreciation and so much love. Not only are runners happy to run, volunteers are happy to help and cancer-warriors are happy to benefit from the free services provided by Cancer Connection.
It is truly The BEST half in Western Mass! This race makes an impact!
