Hello All! I am excited to announce the FOURTH annual Snackroads ride to benefit Tommy’s Place!! I am eager for anyone and everyone to learn about Tommy’s Place and the incredible work that they do. Please take a moment to click on the link to see what is being done for critically ill children and their families. In a time where angry rhetoric from all sides seems to be the norm, I strongly believe that support for children and families who are struggling to fight cancer could or should be a cause that brings people together.
Tommy’s Place is a wonderful organization providing much needed time for children fighting cancer to experience a Cape Cod vacation, to make memories with their families and to play, laugh and forget about their troubles for a few days. Currently there are 2 Tommy’s Place vacation homes located in Falmouth and in Centerville. 104 families are able to experience this getaway opportunity each year. The guests are referred from 11 major childhood cancer hospitals throughout New England.
Tommy's Place
As a non-profit agency, providing these vacations at no cost to the families requires fundraising efforts and donations from those who see the value in their mission. I have been, and remain fully committed to supporting these efforts.I have always emphasized the importance of using vacations as a time to celebrate family, to make memories and to create a family culture that values time together over “stuff”. I remain eager to do anything that I can do to help these families to have that same opportunity.
Saturday, September 26th will be the fourth Tommy’s Place ride. Team “A Holts” rode for a full 30 miles last year and we are signed up once again. Last year, I topped my previous year’s goal. This year I am starting a little higher at a goal of $1000. Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause! This year, there are 3 options for the ride. A shorter 15 mile route, a 26.2 mile option and a 43 mile ride. This is a fundraising ride and not a race so even e-bikes are welcome if you are so inclined. Please consider joining the ride. I’d love to add more names to the roster of Team A-Holts!! Of course, you can create your own teams as well.
All contributions are tax deductible. I encourage you to explore the links on these pages to see the wonderful work that is being done at Tommy’s Place.

Snackroads Ride to Benefit Tommy's Place
Snackroads ride to benefit Tommy's Place is a great event that will raise money to support Tommy's Place in Centerville, MA.
"Tommy's Place" is a dream vacation home for kids fighting cancer. The home is a place to relax, make memories and most importantly have fun! To ensure privacy, one family at a time stays in the home for up to a week - free of charge. The 11 bedroom house has enough space for the immediate family, extended family as well as any friends and caregivers that are all part of the family support system. For these children and their families, one of the most important aspects of dealing with cancer is having a supportive community. “It takes a village” is especially true when dealing with childhood cancer. "Tommy's Place" is an HGTV Dream Home/Disney like experience with individually designed and decorated rooms, inground swimming pool, game room, boardgame room, home theatre, tavern, music and arts and crafts rooms and so much more on the inside.
The bike ride is a 27 mile loop through 3 of Barnstables most beautiful villages. Centerville, Osterville and Hyannisport.
