The PA Center for Adapted Sports (PCAS) is a local non-profit organization committed to improving the health and well-being of people with disabilities through lifestyle sport and recreation.
We recognize that sports and recreation are an essential ingredient to the physical and mental well-being of any individual. By providing specialized equipment and making adaptations where necessary, the Center makes it possible for our athletes to derive all the benefits of sport participation, including better health, improved self-esteem and dynamic social interactions.
A large network of exceptional volunteers makes it possible to provide an inclusive environment designed to focus on a common love of sport rather than a person's disability.
Your support enables us to provide state of the the art technology and to expand our service area to reach under served populations. It allows someone who is blind to also be a rock climber, it gives people with spinal cord injuries the chance to be a skier, it allows people with life altering diagnoses to become cyclists or kayakers or rowers; it allows kids with disabilities to just be kids.
