Thank you for your decision to participate in our upcoming event. We promise you a wonderful and fun day in the Napa Valley. Your participation will great aid the Rotary Club of Napa in our efforts to assist in funding two exceptional causes that will help improve and enrich the lives that these projects serve.
Both Enchanted Hills Camp for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the California Veterans Home “Pathway Home Project”, although located in the Napa Valley, are the only such facilities in the western United States and they both serve individuals and families from all over the United States.
Enchanted Hills Camp has been helping to improve the lives of the blind and visually impaired for many years, and the funds that we raise will help to insure that this special place will continue to serve that community and to provide camperships for those that might otherwise be unable to afford.
The Pathway Home Project is a rehabilitation center to help treat veterans returning from Afghanistan and Iraq suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This unique center, which began operations in January of 2008, is the first of its kind, and serves as a prototype for other centers to follow around the country. It is important to note that this facility will treat not just the returning soldiers, but will incorporate their families in the therapy and recovery process.
We appreciate your participation and ask that you consider getting other people to be involved in this event. Through our on-line registration we have made it easy for your family, friends, and fellow riders to participate in a number of different ways. Please encourage others to visit either one of our web-sites www.cycle4sight.com and/or www.rotaryride4vets.com and click on Pledge Raising to get them started.
Thank you again for your registration and support. On the morning of the event, simply go to the Pre-Registration check in tables to receive your ride package and/or festival passes. Your T-shirt and Wine Glass will be available for you to pick up at the end of the ride.
If you are a Pedal of Honor Registrant you may check in at the Pedal of Honor registration tables where you will also receive your Pedal of Honor Water Bottles.
