The month of May is recognized nationally as Mental Health Awareness Month. The Nucar Lakes Region 5k for Mental Health is a regional event to raise awareness and support vital integrated mental and physical health services provided by Lakes Region Mental Health Center, the state-designated community mental health center providing integrated mental and physical health care to residents of 24 towns in central New Hampshire. LRMHC provides services to up to 4,000 people and $900,000 in charity care each year.

LRMHC is the New Hampshire designated community mental health center that serves 24 towns in Belknap and southern Grafton counties. Lakes Region Mental Health Center's mission is to provide integrated mental and physical health care for people with mental illness, while creating wellness and understanding in our communities.
