Rides and Stops Along the Way

There is a collection of 6 tours for cyclists of all abilities – 20, 35, 50, 62.5 and 100 mile routes winding through 14 towns in scenic northeastern Connecticut and an easy and peaceful 5 mile walking/biking route, the Steeple Chase has something for everyone!

Registration, Start and Finish

Rain or shine, all routes for the Steeple Chase begin and end at the Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) Athletic Complex, 69 Mansfield City Rd., Mansfield, CT on August 19th.  Pre-registration is $25 for individual riders/walkers and $75 for families or groups (day of registration $30 and $85) and riders/walkers are asked to raise additional sponsorships.

The Steeple Chase is a fundraiser for 3 local non-profit social service agencies, Windham Area Interfaith Ministry, Windham Region No Freeze Project and Perception Programs, that help people when they need it most. The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry, is comprised of 39 faith communities, provides fuel assistance, clothing, and furniture to area needy families.Windham Region No Freeze Project provides adults who are homeless overnight shelter. Their goal is to help clients obtain basic resources such as food, clothing, case management and transportation. Perception Programs offers treatment, case management, education and housing to people with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, adults involved in the criminal justice system, and people living with AIDS. Providing quality services is the trademark of both agencies. WE NEED YOUR HELP to raise money to meet the increased needs of the clients we service.
