About Our Cause

A “Grand BikeDo” in the tradition of European "Gran Fondo's, this "Great Fundo" is a shorter distance, but as the name implies, will be great fun for all participants.

A 38.5 mile ride through all the villages of the Town of Barnstable on Cape Cod Massachusetts.

The start and end of the race is at Aselton Park, the corner of South Street and Ocean Avenue in Hyannis MA. The map of the ­­­­­­­ride is at the bottom of the page.

Each of the first 100 participants will receive a long sleeve, quarter zip wick shirt and a cycling cap. Only 5k registrants receive a shirt.

Part of the route will follow the new South Coast Bicycle Route, a signed, on-road, bicycle route highlighting the villages of Barnstable on comfortable, quiet secondary roadways.

The ride has three components:

A youth ride for those 6 and under for 500 yards, which begins at 8:30 a.m.

A youth ride for those 7-12 for one mile, which begins at 9:00 a.m.

And

The Main ride which begins at 9:30 a.m.

The registration fees are as follows:

6 and under                       $0.00

7-12                                   $10.00

13 and over                      $50.00 through January 31, 2015

$55.00 through March 31, 2015

$60.00 through May 15, 2015

$65.00 on May 17, 2015

Same day registration begins at 7:00 a.m. at Aselton Park, the corner of South Street and Ocean Avenue, in Hyannis.
