This marks the 10th year I have participated in KRide in memory of Alyssa who bravely fought her neuroblastoma during both the initial diagnosis and again at relapse. Her spirit lives on within us and it is rare that a week passes without something calling a memory of her to my mind. I participate in just one fundraising event a year and ask you through this link to consider a donation. The monies go towards the care of pediatric cancer patients in our area and allows directed care to this population of children with many diseases under the oncology umbrella. This year, I rode the 25 mile course in nearly 100 degree heat on my ancient mountain bike. It was a tough go, but with each passing mile that required my strength, I thought of the incredible endurance it takes every child with cancer to fight their disease and products of their illness.
