Please support this important cause as Team 26 carries the message about gun violence prevention from Sandy Hook, CT to Washington, DC.
I ride from because I believe there is an answer. Gun violence is not inevitable if we continue to work together to solve the issues. Passionate dialogue and a better understanding of concerns is what we need to make positive changes towards a safer country.
I ride to show compassion for others. I want to show friends, families, co-workers, peers, teammates, and all others impacted by gun violence that they are not alone in making things right. I want them to know that I stand by their side.
I ride to share the messages of those who no longer can. I will not let the memories of individuals lost to gun violence be forgotten about. Their memories share the powerful messages that we all need to remember.
I ride to show that young people will make a difference. The changes that happen now will directly affect the children of my generation. I must make sure that our children have a safer world to grow up in with no missed opportunities.
I ride because I can. I want others to follow.

Sandy Hook Ride on Washington
For the 6th time, 26 cyclists will ride to honor the 26 killed at the Sandy Hook School and all victims of gun violence, to raise awareness of the public health crisis of gun violence, and to support common sense measures to reduce it. We will ride Newtown, Connecticut to Washington, D.C. from May 5 to May 8, 2018 Our ride will take us towards and through states that are working to reduce gun violence. Until members of the Congress do their jobs and pass laws to make Americans safer instead of offering thoughts and prayers for victims, we will continue to ride.
