I ride because when I see news coverage of gun violence or another mass shooting I feel helpless and powerless like there is nothing I can do. I ride because I am sick of seeing innocent lives being taken and still nothing being done. I ride to bring awareness to help end gun violence. I ride because I am passionate about helping end gun violence. I ride because I want change to happen In Washington and across the country when It comes to the way we handle, view, regulate, and talk about guns.
I ride for the victims of Sandy Hook, I ride for the victims of Parkland, I ride for the kids who lost their friends, I ride for the families that were torn apart, I ride because I don’t want people to be afraid to go to school and I ride for everyone affected by gun violence.
I am honored to ride with Team 26 and help bring change to Washington.

Sandy Hook Ride on Washington
For the 6th time, 26 cyclists will ride to honor the 26 killed at the Sandy Hook School and all victims of gun violence, to raise awareness of the public health crisis of gun violence, and to support common sense measures to reduce it. We will ride Newtown, Connecticut to Washington, D.C. from May 5 to May 8, 2018 Our ride will take us towards and through states that are working to reduce gun violence. Until members of the Congress do their jobs and pass laws to make Americans safer instead of offering thoughts and prayers for victims, we will continue to ride.
