Welcome to my fundraising page! I am very excited to raise money to support the children and families who utilize the programs and services of the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County. This is an organization that I am very passionate about and I hope you will help me fundraise. Any amount can make a huge impact.
When my son, Brendan was six years old, we had day care issues and I found out about the Boys and Girls Club. I was able to send Brendan there while I was at work all week for a minimal yearly club dues. They gave him a healthy lunch, he had lots of fun activities to participate in, and he got to go on some super cool field trips. He continued to go there throughout elementary school and on school breaks and I know he really enjoed his time there. I had great peace of mind knowing that my son was not just parked in front of a tv all day while I was at work, but learning new things, making friends and having a great time. I can't stress enough how much the Boys and Girls Club supports kids in providing safe, healthy and fun after school and summer activities.
2022 Pedal Point Rally
Our Pedal Point Rally is going to be a combination of a virtual challenge and an in-person bike ride. Choose between a virtual biking challenge, ice cream ride and rally dinner, or an in-person ride, or all of the above!
You will have the month of June to complete the virtual biking challenge from the comforts of your neighborhood or the trails around your community. See how far you can bike in one month. Your t-shirt will indicate the amount of miles you complete!
New this year, is an ice cream ride and rally dinner on Friday, July 15th at the Hostel Shoppe. Riders will meet at the Hostel Shoppe to receive a King Cone coupon to ride to devour an ice cream cone, then ride back to the Hostel Shoppe to enjoy a delicious dinner together and kick off the event weekend.
On Saturday, July 16th, you can participate in our in-person celebration ride at the Hostel Shoppe. Rides range in lengths from four miles up to sixty miles. After, food trucks, bounce houses, games, and a short presentation will take place to give prizes to those who biked the most miles and raised the most pledges for the Club.
Steps to Complete the Virtual Pedal Point Rally Biking Challenge
- Register for the biking challenge. (June 1st through June 30th)
- To receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and be entered to win larger prizes, you will need to donate at least $25 or ask your friends and family to pledge or donate to help you reach your $25 donation goal.
- Begin biking on June 1st, 2021 to work towards completing your biking challenge. Biking achievements range from 25 miles all the way up to 1,000 miles.
- Biking achievements include: 25 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles, 250 miles, 500 miles, and 1,000 miles.
- Your t-shirt sleeve will show which achievement you complete based on how many miles you track during the month of June!
- Follow our Virtual Pedal Point Rally Facebook Event to see announcements and updates
- You can join our Strava Group to track how many miles you ride during the month of June!
- Report your results by logging into your BikeReg account and clicking on the Enter Data tab after each ride or at the end of the month. Just make sure you report your results before June 30th.
- Reach your virtual biking challenge and $25 donation goal by June 30th and receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and be entered to win larger prizes!
- Please note that your prizes may not get to you until late August 2021 because of shipping.
- Prizes will also be given to the participant who bikes the most miles and the participant who raises the most pledges.

- 60 mile - 8:00 AM
- 20 mile – 9:00 AM
- 13 mile – 10:00 AM
- 4 mile – 10:30 AM
- Presentation – 12:00 PM
- Lunch - 11:30 to 1:30 pm
Our Pedal Point Rally will make a difference in the lives of Portage County children. 100% of the proceeds will go towards feeding meals daily, teaching life skills, and helping children through their daily challenges, big or small. When you are asking your friends and family to donate or pledge money for the number of miles you ride, please remember that you are helping us do whatever it takes to meet the needs of these children.
Over the past few years, our Pedal Point Rally has raised over $30,000 to support Portage County children. We are asking for your help in reaching that goal again this year. Gather all of your friends and family to pledge and let's make it happen!
