Hello friends and family!
Happy Holiday season to you all! It is that time of year when I make my commitment to fundraising and training for the VT100 Endurance Race to be held next year on July 18th-19th. The VT100 is a running adventure that traverses 100 miles of landscape in the Green Mountains of VT...a magical land filled with nature's beauty, the sound of music (IYKYK, haha), lots of hills to climb (and descend), gorgeous trees, more hills, horses, streams and rivers, a few bugs, and some more hills thrown in for good measure.
The VT100 Endurance Race is a major annual fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, an amazing organization that provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. Their programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months; there are also several Veteran-centric events supported by the Veteran Ventures programming of Vermont Adaptive. Vermont Adaptive offers financial support for anyone who needs it to participate.
Personally, my miles are motivated by one of my favorite supporters, my WingMan Nick...who has shown me over the years just how impactful adaptive sports can be in people's lives. The VT100 has become a huge part of my life every year since I first got involved in 2011...and many of you have been a part of my adventure for a lot of those years (and miles). THANK YOU for your continued support!
Thank you!
