Hello friends and family!
Competing in the VT100 is a challenge that I am very excited about this summer! I have known about the VT100 since I started running in my freshman year of high school, and I have considered this race as the ultimate mental and physical challenge. As I have just graduated from college, I have decided now is the time to undertake the VT100, which would be a full circle moment for me to return to my passion for running in the Green Mountains before I move on to the next chapter of my life.
I am lucky to have been a memeber of cross country running and cross country skiing teams that have prioritized empowering and uplifting teammates in order to build strong communities centered around outdoor recreation. As part of this race I am raising money to support Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports which ensures that sports are accessible to everyone so that everyone can be included in these communities. Vermont Adaptive provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. Their programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months. Vermont Adaptive offers financial support for anyone who needs it to participate.
Please consider donating what you can to help me reach my goal and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too!
Thank you!
