Lisa and I are proud to be riding in the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes - a meaningful event supporting our nation’s combat veterans and their families as they cope with the trauma and stress of war.
All proceeds from the ride go directly to the Boulder Crest Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic well-being of military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. Through transformative programs, BCF helps them rediscover lives of passion, purpose, and service at home.
The ride is organized by 12 Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Posts from Virginia’s central Shenandoah Valley, and every dollar raised supports this vital mission.
I’m dedicating my ride to the memory of my father, J.J. Seeberger (USNA ’58), and my brother, Thad Seeberger, a devoted Navy Civil Servant. I also ride in honor of five fallen classmates from the USNA Class of ’87 - Mark Hamilton, Ned Metcalf, Bill Muscha, Jason Skubi, and Ron Vauk - as well as my 35th Company brothers: Rich Galvan, Wes Mumm, Drew Riccuiti, and Dan Shaffer. May their service and sacrifice never be forgotten.
Please consider supporting our United Airlines team and this incredible cause. Your donation - made through the VFW, a 501(c)(19) charitable organization - is tax deductible and makes a real difference in the lives of those who’ve given so much for our country.
Thank you for standing with us.
Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes 2025
Back for 2025 with three beautiful road routes in a rural part of the Shenandoah Valley, the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes is better than ever.
Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery, near Raphine, Virginia is our host for this year. It's just off I-81 with easy access from the interstate.
The routes will test your legs and showcase the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. Our rest stops will offer a chance to meet our local Veterans and learn some history as you rest and recover for the next leg over the rolling hills and countryside.
We ride to support our combat veterans and their families who are dealing with the trauma and stress of their war experiences. All funds raised go to Boulder Crest Foundation, which is committed to improving the physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic wellbeing of our nation's military, veterans, first responders, and their family members. BCF programs ensure they have the opportunity to live lives of passion, purpose, and service at home. All the proceeds from the event support this critical program.
This benefit ride is a fundraiser hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to raise money for Boulder Crest Foundation, a therapeutic and wellness center for combat veterans and their families who are dealing with the stresses of their combat experiences. After twenty years of continuous war in Afghanistan and Iraq, our combat veterans, many of whom have deployed multiple times, and their families are paying a terrible price for their service to the nation. Our event supports Boulder Crest Foundation's mission of turning "struggle into strength" and enables combat veterans to attend BCF's posttraumatic growth programs at no cost. Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes is organized by Valley Veterans, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations to Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes are tax deductible.
